I have produced an update to my HSOconnect program based on user feedback. I have added the following features: - Transfer Limit Warning
- Customisable Connection Timeout
- Roaming Warning
- Connection Log
- Transfer Total
- Customisable Quick Switch buttons for sending commands to the modem.
- A preferences dialog for configuring program settings
The next phase of development will concentrate on making packages for other distributions and minimising the application to the system tray. The HSOconnect application can be downloaded from the HSOconnect forum. It is currently available as a Debian package and requires Python 2.5. The source for the application is also available (it should also run under Python 2.4). It needs the hsolink package and also the HSO driver and any support utilities to be present (e.g. rezero or usbmodeswitch). These packages are also linked to in the forums.
