Option have many data cards in their product range. I've have tested most of the cards to see if they work with Linux. Check the forum on this website and read the Howtos get more information.

Please use the "serial letters" to identify what product you have. 


 * The "Serial Letters" are the first two letters of the serial number printed on the bottom of the data card.

. Here are my findings (Now updated to include the latest Option products):

Yes Cardbus - USB serial Both UMTS/GPRS and WiFi  work. Use NDISWrapper to get WiFi working. (Driver works with 4k stack on Fedora 4).

 /etc/modprobe.conf:
options usbserial vendor=0xaf0 product=0x6000

This card is made in two versions - Dual band GPRS (900/1800 MHz) or Quad Band GPRS (900/1800, 850/1900 MHz) but are otherwise identical

Since 2.6.12 there is kernel support for this device

GlobeTrotter EDGE
ML EDGE/GPRS Yes PCMCIA - UART The card appears as a new serial port. This is a 16-bit card even though it is built in a 32-bit case. Reliability not proven using standard Linux serial drivers.
GlobeTrotter Combo EDGE
MG EDGE/GPRS and WiFi
Yes Cardbus - UART 32-bit multifunction card. WiFi tested with Linuxant NDIS wrapper. Reliability not proven using standard Linux serial drivers. There are OpenBSD drivers.
