After 30yrs or so I've picked up Astronomy
again. Back then I built my own telescope using an uncut 60mm spectacle
lens with a focal length of 1m and a microscopes eyepiece mounted in
postal tubes. I managed to just see the rings on Saturn!
Now I
can afford to spend a little more on equipment. The aperture has gone
up considerably but the fun and sense of wonder is just the same. Have a look at what I have found: Digital SLR astrophotography web-cam astroimaging
