I can connect only once without rebooting, on Mandriva 2008.1 using HSO 1.2
ICON 225
Orange Internet Everywhere 10€
first time, I can connect OK :

then I disconnect, unplug the stick, there is still

of course, when I replug the stick, I can't reconnect a second time :
