Hi,

just wanted to let you know that I have successfully gotten this to run on the first generation (Blue) iMac running XUbuntu 6.06. It took some time before I found all sources, since I needed to recompile for powerpc.

I now use:
- usb_modeswitch to switch the mode from storage to modem
- hsolink
- hsoconnect

At first it seemed to work, since it connected, however no traffic was sent over the line. This turned out to be the fact that I ran hsoconnect as user and hsolink had only root rights. After :
chmod +s /usr/local/bin/hsolinkcontrol

everything works like a charm. The window manager I used is Xfe and the python version is 2.4. Very nice : I now have my 'el cheapo' nice looking internet box to use in my workshop. Network is t-mobile in the Netherlands on the 'web n walk' stick.
