Hi,

I could not get this modem to work using option driver.
Vendor=0af0 ProdID=6971
I downloaded the HSO1.2 to my linux and compiled it for mips.so.
It recognizes the usb-storage initially, but after a eject the hso driver is correctly recognized.

As the /dev does not has the ttyHS*, I create them manually using:
mknod /dev/ttyHS0 c 254 0
mknod /dev/ttyHS1 c 254 1
mknod /dev/ttyHS2 c 254 2
mknod /dev/ttyHS3 c 254 3
ln -s /dev/ttyHS0 /dev/modem (use modem from the ppp scripts)

(1. Should I user ttyHS0?
2. Do I need to do the mknod myself?)

After that when I dial using pppd, this is what I get:
/etc/ppp/peers # pppd call modem
Initializing USB modem
AT
OK
ATZ
OK
AT&F
OKConnecting...
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","telenor"
OK
ATDT*99***
Connect script failed

The Dial string cannot be sent. But, before that its replying fine.

Any ideas what can be going wrong?
Many thanks..

For my Globetrotter modem, I can interact with the modem and register it and get all carrier details, but, when giving a dial string or AT+CGDATA=1 , it gives a NO CARRIER. The card worked fine on windows.
Any clues anyone?
