Hi porfirio,
I have just completed a fresh install on openSUSE11 and after a little messing around I do have it working
I did a KDE Live CD installation. I needed to install the kernel sources, gcc, autoconfig and make.
You need to compile and install hso, rezero and hsolinkcontrol. (the Fedora 9 howto will explain some of this if you are not sure.)
To install the hsoconnect rpm:
| Code: | | rpm -i --nodeps hsoconnect-py2.5-1.1.83-2.noarch.rpm |
Next make sure that your username is in the uucp group. (I used Yast to do that).
Now try starting the program with : python -m hsoc
If it runs make sure you configure the profile and then click the connect button..
I spent more time getting my ATI FireGL V5000 display adapter working
The default GUI configuration on my display is not good - the text is all the wrong size but that is a simple text file configuration fix.
Let me know how you get on.
Cheers,
Paul

The screen shot shows that HSOconnect cannot find the ttyHS1 port or it does not have permission to open it.
Please open the debug window (prefernces dialog) and tell me what it reports.
Please also check that you are a member of the uucp group.
Cheers,
Paul
