I'm hoping someone here can help...
when I use COMGT (comgt -d /dev/ttyUSB0) to try and communicate with my datacard, it exits with :
comgt hh:mm:ss -> Error @74, line 4, Could not write to COM device. (1)
I've successfully used the nozomi drivers and comgt before with an pcmcia card, but my new laptop running 64-bit OSes (Vista and Linux) does not have a full sized pcmcia slot, so I am trying to get things working with a huawei E220 usb modem.
The kernel correctly identifies the device and assigns the option.o module as device driver and a device is duly created at /dev/ttyUSB0, but after that I have had no luck. The firmware on the datacard has been flashed to the latest available version. I am using comgt 0.32...
Any pointers would be appreciated... |

Hi,
I have never tested the E220 with comgt but it sounds like a driver/card issue.
Did you check if you have permission to open the port (try as a normal user and root)?
Cheers,
