How do I actually get internet access to work? I've got Version 1.1.82 2008-05-23 of hsoconnect. If I click on connect, it says "disconnect", and shows 0 bytes send/received, so I assume it did connect. But I can't get any internet access.
I have an option 225 on Orange UK (I've set the APN to orangeinternet) and I know the card works under my ubuntu 8.04 because I tried the "hso" proram I found on a French site, and it works when I do "sudo connect.sh up", but I'd rather use the GUI hsoconnect program. |

Did you try running HSOconnect from the command line?
If everything is set up correctly you will see something like this when you click the connect button:
| Code: | linux-icxo:/home/ice/Desktop # python -m hsoc
False
Serial(port='/dev/ttyHS1', baudrate=115200, bytesize=8, parity='N', stopbits=1, timeout=1, xonxoff=0, rtscts=0)
Direct control of resolv.conf.
#Created by hsolinkcontrol

nameserver 10.205.65.68
copied resolv.conf
/sbin/ifconfig hso0 10.57.147.43 netmask 255.255.255.255 up
added route |
Let me know what you see (your numbers will be different of course).
Cheers,
Paul |
