Hi All,
When i started my PC, it dosn't up /dev/ttyUSB0 (or /dev/ttyH...).
I need to plug/unplug my USB modem (Vodaphone/Huawei E272) and after that it working. I am writing here, because i receive this error, when i working with rezero:
"Need read/write permissions to SCSI device"

[root@localhost ~]# ll /dev/scd0
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 11, 0 Mar 18 15:33 /dev/scd0
[root@localhost ~]# rezero /dev/scd0
Need read/write permissions to SCSI device: /dev/scd0.
[root@localhost ~]# chmod +777 /dev/scd0
[root@localhost ~]# ll /dev/scd0
brwxrwxrwx 1 root disk 11, 0 Mar 18 15:33 /dev/scd0
[root@localhost ~]# rezero /dev/scd0
Need read/write permissions to SCSI device: /dev/scd0.

I try to work with usb_modeswitch, but i still can not make it start at boot time.
I am using CentOS 4.6,
USB modem have VendorID 12d1 and ProductID 1003
and authomatecaly (in boot time), there is loading only (!) usb_storage module.
I also putted :
options usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1003
in /etc/modprobe.conf
and :
usb_storage
in /etc/hotplug/blacklist
I haven't installed option module.
Well, what can i do, to put /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/ttyH.. up?

Hi Mitio,
I have moved your post here because your modem is not an Option modem.
The rezero utility only works with Option modems It does not work with Huawei modems.
I am sorry but I have not tested the E272. Perhaps someone in this forum can help you.
