I have an Icon 7.2, and I upgraded the firmware, but I think it might have gone wrong in some weird way.
It connects to the network fine (AT+COPS?), but while setting up a PPP link, I get a hangup after a few IPCP tries (while pppd is trying to configure DNS/IP).
Connecting works in Windows (tried several machines), and in Linux on one of my laptops (it's not a warm-boot thing, I tried that). I use the same ppp config, kernel, usb_modeswitch + config everywhere as well.
The device has the "old" USB id after switching (0x0af0 / 0x6901), so the HSO driver won't work.
Does anyone have a clue what this could be? Or should I just ask my operator (=employer, luckily ) for even newer firmware? |

| Oh, it might help to mention that the datacard used to work on the other laptops as well, but now it doesn't. |
