I have successfully used my friends option GX0201 card he got from the operator 3 in Stockholm. I run usb_modeswitch and then used KPPP to connect without any problem

When I bought my 3 account they tried to sell a very clumsy pc-card, so I bought a gt max "7.2 ready" card from an OEM retailer.

But this card doesn't work at all in Ubuntu.

When I insert the card, it presents itself in the /var/log/messages and then starts flashing fast blue/red. usb_modeswitch doesn't change anything.

lsusb hangs and doesn't display anything. Can't be Ctrl-C-ed. I have to reboot to get lsusb to work again.

Here is the text in /var/log/message:
