I have a requirement to be able to programmatically establish and answer voice calls using a 2g-3g voice/data card. Will the COMGT scripts allow me to do this? If so, can anyone recommend a suitable data card?
How does one discover the modem commands that are supported by these cards? Do the manufacturers provide this information, or is it reverse engineered by snooping the serial port? |

Not many datacards support voice. Some do and even fewer are approved for voice calls in Europe and the USA.
The voice call commands are standard GSM AT commands that are defined by 3GPP specifications and are freely available - they should be all you need.
Each manufacturer also has their own proprietary additions to these commands of course. Contact each supplier directly. Specify which device you want the commands for because they often change.
Cheers,
