Hello all,
I am new to this world of cellular modems and linux so relying on your good will and patience.
Could someone please give me the basic order of things and summarize the drivers around? What's the option.ko. what's the hso, what's nozomi? The differences? Which is good for what type of cards and briefly why? Do they have any theoretical/practical uplink/downlink throughput limitations making them work up to some technologies?
And another one please.
Does option.ko v0.7.1, which I am running in my fc8 (kernel 2.6.23) supposed to support multiple usb cards? Because for some reason I am encountering probems with the second card being plugged in and nothing happens, ie no /dev/ttyUSB is created, no udevmonitor event, no lsbusb listing etc (with VMWare player). The first usb card being plugged in works fine.
Both devices that I'm plugging in are not Option, yet each one of them separately does work with the option.ko driver, it's just that the second one is not identified as such.
Hope this is not too much. Thanks a lot.
