Hi,

I use GTEDGE, machine runs Fedora 7 (2.6.21). I can easily go on-line with wvdial ( and pppd underneath ) but after few minutes ( up to one hour ) connection just stalls - no traffic goes througt but I am not disconnected either. This seems to have nothing to do with speed, band width, etc. I have Googled a lot but still haven't found any fix to solve this. Could anyone help ?

Furthermore : How can I restart modem to wvdial again w/o rebooting ? Comgt reports modem is busy ( or some SIM problem ) when I try to wvdial again after ctrl +C connection termination. Thanks in advance.

Hi mzi,

I don't have a fix for the stall but you can try using

pccardtools eject
pccardtools insert

to restart the card.
